Punjab govt nods to health insurance of judges

Punjab government on Wednesday decided to grant health insurance to around 1794 judges of the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, Department of Specialized Healthcare forwarded a summary to provincial revenue department seeking Rs3500 million under the head of health insurance for Punjab judges.
Around 36 judges of Lahore High Court (LHC), and 667 judges of district judiciary while 110 senior and 981 civil judges will avail the facility of health insurance. All family members of relevant judge will also be eligible to avail this facility.
These judges will receive free medical treatment in all government hospitals and hospitals on Punjab government’s panels.
