The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has booked seven YouTubers and social media activists on charges of character assassination of actress Nargis.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the FIA Cybercrime Wing launched a hunt for the accused after registering a case on the complaint of Nargis.
According to FIA, Nargis' character assassination was done through interviews.
A few days, a report said Nargis approached the FIA against fellow actresses. She complained Abida Usmani and Maryam Hussain had defamed her, and she requested the FIA to register a case.
Abida Usmani reported to have claimed that Nargis’s pilgrimage (Hajj) would not be accepted.
In a viral video, the actress stated, “No matter how many pilgrimages she undertakes, they won’t be accepted. She can afford to perform as many Hajj as she wishes, but they won’t be counted.”
Previously, Nargis accused her husband, Inspector Maajid Bashir, of domestic violence in Lahore’s Defence area.
The dispute reportedly arose from financial issues, and although Nargis visited the police station, she did not file a formal complaint.
Her brother, Khurram, reported the incident to the authorities after Nargis allegedly suffered severe beatings, and he called for action against Bashir, claiming the police officer routinely abused Nargis.
Inspector Bashir denied the allegations, describing them as part of a personal dispute and stating that he would pursue legal action against those tarnishing his reputation. He stressed that arguments were common in marriages.
During the interview, said her husband was reportedly involved with Maryam Hussain, a former dancer and TV show host.
