Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi Saturday laid the foundation stone of the Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar shrine upgradation project, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.


He also inaugurated the upgraded building of Farid Nagar police station.


During his visit to Pakpattan, a detailed briefing was given to him on Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar Complex Upgradation Project.


It was briefed that the entrance of the shrine of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar will be improved and beautiful arches will be made.


Langarkhana, library, assembly hall and inn will also be built in Mazar Baba Farid.


New security, CCTV, and an air-conditioning system will be installed in Mazar Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar complex.


The sewage system of Mazar Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar complex will be improved.


Two elevators will also be installed in the Mazar Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar complex for the convenience of visitors.


CM Naqvi also reviewed the ongoing upgradation at the shrine of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar.


He visited the upgraded Farid Nagar police station, reviewed the facilities and inspected the front desk service.


CM Naqvi while talking to media said that the upgradation project of Mazar Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar Complex will cost 631 million rupees.


He said that the Department of Construction and Communications is working diligently on the Mazar Complex Upgradation Project.


Mazar Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar will make the complex the best and model Mazar, said Mohsen Naqvi.


The design and entrance of Mazar Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar complex will be your example, the CM said.


He said there could be no better project for Pakpattan than the upgradation of the Mazar Baba Faridganj Shukar complex.


Pakpattan is known worldwide for Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shukar and devotees flock here, Mohsen Naqvi said.


He said everything will be made state-of-the-art including the library in the Mazar Complex.


He further said that we are looking at the matter of colony for small-town journalists.


Like the police station Farid Nagar, you will find other police stations in the same way, said Mohsen Naqvi.


He said the safe city projects of Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Gujranwala have been completed and in four to five days more will be started in 18 cities.


We did what we could, the university in Pakpattan will form the next government, says Mohsen Naqvi.


We will examine the issue of shortage of medicines in hospitals, he added.


All the shrines will be upgraded under a phased programme, Mohsen Naqvi said.


Chairman Planning and Development Board, Secretaries of Construction and Communications, Awqaf, Inspector General Police, Deputy Commissioner, DPO and other relevant officials were also present.


Meanwhile, Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated a 5-storey surgical tower and MRI block at Teaching Hospital Sahiwal.


Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the surgical tower and MRI block, and reviewed the treatment facilities. He went to the wards and different sections of the hospital and also inspected the MIR machine.
