Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to expand the federal cabinet, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Sources told 24News TV channel that the PPP had again refused to join the cabinet despite the prime minister’s invitation.

Sources informed that PM Shehbaz planned to induct more than 25 members of the parliament (MPs) into the cabinet.

They disclosed that in this connection, the names of Talal Chaudhry, Barrister Aqeel, Huzaifa Rehman, Khel Das, Sardar Yousaf, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Hanif Abbasi,  Tauqeer Shah and Abdur Rehman Kanju had been finalized.

Sources said that most of these MPs were from Punjab while there would be one minister from KP and one from Sindh in the cabinet.

They informed that additional portfolios would be taken away from the federal ministers.

They also informed that the prime minister would write a letter to President Asif Ali Zardari about the cabinet’s expansion next week.
