Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that the government will provide all necessary facilities and scholarships to brilliant (honehaar) students to enable them to meet their educational expenditure, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

While addressing the students of Bahauddin Zikriya University in Multan on Monday, Maryam Nawaz said that there is no need to worry for good students regarding their educational expenditure.

She said that public’s resources were not being spent on the welfare of the people for the last 75 years but Honhaar Scholarship Program will be gradually expanded and will introduce international scholarships.

She announced to distribute laptops among the students in near future. Maryam Nawaz said that she feel pleasure to know that 60 percent female students obtained Honhaar Scholarship.

She said that we have to use e-vehicles to promote healthy environment in the province. She informed the participants a Chinese company expressed interest to establish an electric bikes plant in Punjab.

Maryam Nawaz said that deserving honhaar students will be provided interest-free loans so they can start a business.

Over Rs100 million loan will be provided to students after completion of their studies to start a business.

Punjab Chief Minister announced to provide scholarships to 30,000 students on the condition that they will not involve in any kind of anti-state activities.
