Use of contraceptive pills spikes in Punjab

The Punjab province registered an increase in usage of contraceptive pills as compared with the statistics of year 2017-18, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to a survey report, Punjab witnessed increase in usage of contraceptive pills from 34.4 percent to 40.1 percent during the on-going year while sale of animated tablets also decreased from 17.8 percent to 16.7 percent.

The survey report further revealed that demand of family planning also registered sharp rise which went up from 52.2 percent to 56.8 percent.

There is also decrease in ratio of births in Punjab which already fell from 3.7 percent to 3.5 percent.
