Another consignment of anti-covid vaccines has been landed in Pakistan from China, 24NewsHD reported on Sunday.
The report cited health officials as saying that 700,000 more doses have been reached while another consignment carrying 600,000 doses will be arrived tonight.
The government came under fire for what the opposition claimed the vaccination centres ran short of the vaccine. Last month, opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif said that planning should be done keeping in view the 220 million population.
The small-minded view of ordering a few million vaccines and relying on donations needs to change, he said in a tweet.
"Sindh, Punjab running out of coronavirus vaccines," he said, adding that the unavailability of the coronavirus vaccine is another proof of the government's negligence and incompetence.
