Female college principal inspires youths to cycle from home to work

Dr Aaliya Rehman Khan, the principal of Govt MAO College, Lahore, has become an example for the youth to be economic, environmentally conscious and healthy by choosing a bicycle to travel between home and office, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
A video of her going home from college on a bicycle went viral on social media. In an interview, she said that cycling was the best exercise. “Boys and girls should ride bicycles instead of traveling in buses,” she added.
Dr Aaliya Rehman said that the purpose of cycling was also to give a message of empowerment to women and girls. “Traffic challan can also be avoided on a bicycle, but traffic rules must be adhered to,” she said.
According to her, she does not face any problem on the roads while cycling. People respect women and give them way to pass. Various diseases can be avoided by adopting the habit of cycling.
