Four of family die as passenger van plunges into ravine in Haripur

Four family members, including kids and women, died and 10 were injured in a road accident in Haripur, the 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Thursday.
According to the details, a passenger van plunged 200 feet into a ravine at Chahkai in Haripur, resulting in the deaths of four family members on the spot.
The Rescue 1122 officials said the van was travelling from Swabi to Islamabad Airport, and the accident was caused by overspeeding.
The channel reported that upon receiving the information about the accident, Rescue 1122 and police teams rushed to the scene.
As per the channel report, rescue operations were underway, but severe winds, rain, and power outages in the mountainous area are causing difficulties in recovering the injured passengers.
The channel also reported that among the deceased and injured were mostly women and children.
Bus veered off Motorway at Samundari, six injured
In a separate accident near Chak 211 on the M3 Motorway at Samundri, a passenger bus veered off the motorway due to the driver falling asleep, resulting in six passengers being injured.
The rescue team reported that the injured passengers were transported to the civil hospital, with two in critical condition referred to Faisalabad.
The rescue team said among the injured are Manahil, Mukhtar, Shakila, Ali Taqi, Alam, and Khurram.
According to the police, the bus was traveling from Lahore to Abdul Hakeem, and the driver fled the scene following the accident.
