The measles outbreak has become a dangerous situation in Ghoram Murri village of Skarand Tehsil of Nawabshah as two children of a family lost their lives on Tuesday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, in the village, 12 children suffering from measles while the condition of 7 children is critical.
The relatives of the deceased children said in their village located in the Kacha area, no vaccinations have been given despite the village consisting of 300 houses. They said there is not a single dispensary in the village, nor is there any lady health worker.
The heirs said that after the death of the two children, the team of the health department reached the village.
On the other hand, DHO Shaheed Benazirabad Dr Shafqat Gul said that they reached Ghoram Murri village without any delay after receiving the information about the sickness of kids and checked 143 children and 105 were vaccinated while 7 children were shifted to Nawabshah Hospital.
Dr Shafqat Gul said the health department will continue the emergency camp in the village for three days and all the children of the village will be treated.
