Huge cut in Railways fares for rich passengers

The Pakistan Railways has announced a huge cut in the fares for its elite class passengers.

The reduction in the fares of AC business class and AC standard class of 21 express trains has been made on the advice of Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed, says a notification issued on Wednesday.

However, the reduction in train fares will be applicable for two months (March 9 to May 8) and could be availed only on advance booking, it said.
