Shivangi and Kushal’s strong reply to engagement rumors

Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon have sparked widespread attention across social media as certain reports claim that they are contemplating formalizing their speculated relationship by getting engaged.

Now, the actors have come forward to deny the speculations, dubbing them as baseless.

This is the first time that the actors have reacted to their link-up rumours. The actors took to their respective social media accounts to refute the engagement rumours.

Taking to her IG handle, Shivangi Joshi dropped a picture note that consisted of a write-up. Through the post, Shivangi quashed all the rumours about her engagement with Kushal.

Shivangi's note mentioned that she loves rumours as she finds some information about herself that had been unknown to her.

While Shivangi opted for a cryptic way to react to the engagement rumours, Kushal was more direct.

He wrote:

 “Yaar media wallloooo Ek bhath bathaooo, meri engagement horahiiii hain, our muje he nah pataaaaa?????? I am here in Thailand training my martial arts. Aisaaaa kaiseee karletheee Hoon aaap log, atleast thoro tho authentication news ki rahkaaaa Karoo mere bhai log? Ye apkeee source hain kaun”

(Hey media folks! Tell me something, I'm getting engaged and I don’t even know about it??? I'm here in Thailand training for martial arts. How do you guys do this? At least verify the news properly. Who are your sources anyway)?

He also posted a picture of himself from a material training session to support his post.

It all began when Shivangi Joshi dropped a special birthday post for her co-star, Kushal Tandon, on March 28, 2024. Her post consisted of several photos of the duo, and a heart-melting caption, wherein she added that the actor brought a touch of uniqueness into everyone's life. Shivangi also extended best wishes to her co-star.

Report by News18 suggested that Shivangi and Kushal, aged 25 and 39 respectively, are dating each other. They quoted a source as saying that Shivangi and Kushal bonded well on the show’s set, which soon transformed into love. It claimed that they are in a committed relationship, and want to make things official soon.

“Both of them are very private people and, therefore, want to keep their relationship away from the public eye. They might announce their relationship when they feel the time is right," the source was quoted as saying in the report.

For the unversed, Kushal Tandon was earlier in a relationship with Gauahar Khan. The ex-couple crossed paths while being on Bigg Boss 7 and even dated a couple of times after coming out of the show. It was in 2014 when Kushal announced his separation from Gauahar. Cut to now, Gauahar is married to Zaid Darbar and they are parents to their son, Zehaan.

Talking about Shivangi Joshi's dating life, the actress has been linked to several of her co-stars throughout her acting career. The diva was first speculated to be dating her Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai co-star, Mohsin Khan. On the other hand, rumors were also rife that Shivangi had found love in the arms of Randeep Rai, with whom she has worked in Balika Vadhu 2. However, Shivangi soon cleared the air of such speculations and mentioned that Randeep and Mohsin were her co-stars only.
