The Turkish actors from the acclaimed historical series Dirilis: Ertugrul, Cengiz Coskun aka Turgut Alp and Nurettin Sonmez aka Bamsi Bay visited the Special Security Unit Headquarters (SSU) of Karachi Police and were received by Deputy Inspector General of police (DIG) Security and Emergency Services Division Karachi Maqsood Ahmed, reported 24NewsHD TV on Thursday.

Turkish actors visited various departments of SSU and praised the current professionalism and management of the personnel.

DIG Maqsood Ahmed while giving details to the foreign actors of the performance of various departments of the Special Security Unit said that, for the first time in Pakistan a Specialized Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team has been set up in Sindh Police.

SWAT team commandos including lady commandos are all trained and equipped with modern weapons. This team is always ready to deal with any untoward situation, said DIG Maqsood.

The Turkish actors appreciated the SSU's high professionalism in administrative, security and counter-terrorism matters and expressed their views, saying that they were feeling very good about the warm hospitality extended by the Pakistani people. In the end, SSU police presented honorary shields to the guests from Turkey.

The fame of the historical drama reached its peak in Pakistan, during the early stage of Covid-19 crisis in Pakistan. The Turkish actors like Esra Bilgic, Engin Altan Duzyatan, Cengiz Coskun, Nurettin Sonmez and Burcu Kiratli among many other started to get praised by the country. As a result, Esra Bilgic and Burcu Kiratli went out to endorse many Pakistani commercials. Meanwhile, Ertugrual character, Engin Altan visited Pakistan last year in December. Now, Cengiz Coskun and Nurettin Sonmez made their way to Pakistan, after knowing the worth of visiting this great country.
