A sessions court in Lahore on Saturday extended the interim bail granted to four suspects in TikToker Ayesha Akram Beg’s molestation case till September 14, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Earlier the court heard the pre-arrest bail applications of Khizar Hayat, Muhammad Umar, Muhammad Asif and Akhtar Ali.

Counsels for the suspects told the court that his clients were willing to cooperate with the police in the investigation, but feared arrests. “Therefore, it is prayed to the court to order the police not to arrest them,” he said.

Ayesha had been ‘molested’ by a mob of around 400 men and boys at Greater Iqbal Park on August 14 when she had gone there to film a TikTok video in connection with the country’s Independence Day.

The incident had caused outrage across the country and had even grabbed international media’s attention.
