30 new buses to be added to the fleet of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Peshawar have arrived in Pakistan from China, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

A spokesman for TransPeshawar said several of these buses possessing Diesel Hybrid technology had already left for Peshawar.

He hoped that the addition of 30 new buses would further strengthen the BRT system of the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The spokesman informed that the new buses would also ply on other routes besides express routes. “Now that 30 more buses are joining the BRT fleet, the number of buses will now reach 158,” he explained.
