The district and sessions court in Islamabad has sought arguments regarding the maintainability of the illegal Nikah case against ex-prime minister and former PTI chairman Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Senior Civil Judge Qudratullah heard the illegal marriage case against the former first couple on Tuesday.
During the hearing, Bushra’s ex-husband Khawar Manika's domestic servant Muhammad Latif recorded his statement after which the statements of all four prosecution witnesses of the case were recorded.
Muhammad Latif recorded his statement in the presence of the petitioner's lawyer Rizwan Abbasi.
While recording his statement, Manika’s servant Muhammad Latif said that former PTI chairman used to visit Bushra Bibi in her house before their marriage. Imran and Bushra Bibi would go in a room and indulged in ‘indecent activities’.
The servant said when he entered Bushra Bibi’s room, the former PTI chairman started abusing him and would ask him to get out. He said he used to do his master Khawar Manika’s bidding who asked him to keep an eye on them.
After recording his statement, the court adjourned the hearing of the case till December 8 and sought arguments regarding whether the case is admissible or not.
It should be noted that earlier petitioner Khawar Manika, Nikah reciter Mufti Saeed and Imran Khan’s former aide Aun Chaudhry have recorded their statements as witnesses.
On Friday, petitioner's lawyer Rizwan Abbasi will present his arguments on the maintainability of the case.
Yesterday, while having an informal talk with media persons during his cipher case trial at Adiala Jail, Imran Khan said that he did not see Bushra Bibi’s face before their marriage.
Reacting to former PTI chairman’s statement on Monday, Aun Chaudhry said that Imran Khan's claim of not seeing Bushra Bibi before marriage was the biggest lie of the century.
He said that Imran Khan met Bushra Bibi not once but many times before their marriage and their meetings would prolong for hours. He said Imran had met and saw Bushra Bibi dozens of times before marriage.
