The international community should fulfil its promises and get the Kashmiris their right to self-determination, said top leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) in their message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, which is being celebrated in Azad Kashmir, Indian-occupied Kashmir, Pakistan and across the globe today (Wednesday).
Kashmir Solidarity Day to be observed today in AJK, IoK, Pakistan and across the globe
The world should honour its commitments and get the Kashmir issue resolved according to the UN resolutions, PML President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and MNA Moonis Elahi said in a joint message shared with the media on the Kashmir Solidarity Day.
They said today every Pakistani is standing by their Kashmiri brethren and ready to render every sacrifice for them. The way people of Indian-occupied Kashmir are determinedly facing the Indian oppression and suppression shows their spirit of "hurrieyet" (freedom) has not weakened despite a six-month long lockdown in the entire valley. They said the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir has been occupied and turned into a virtual jail. They said Kashmiris’ sacrifices will bear fruit and complete the incomplete agenda of creation of Pakistan.
They said that sacrifices Kashmiris are rendering today to get rid of the Indian atrocities will be written in history in golden words. They said that all political parties, armed forces and the entire nation is on one page on Kashmir.
