Judicial Commission recommends six additional judges in Peshawar High Court

Judicial Commission Wednesday recommends six names of additional judges for their appointment in Peshawar High Court (PHC).

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Judicial Commission meeting was chaired by Supreme Court Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed on the matter of additional judges’ appointment.

The sources said the appointment of six additional judges has been recommended in the PHC.

The names of District and Sessions Judges Shahid Khan, Khurshid Iqbal and Fazal Subhan are recommended while the names of two advocates Ijaz Khan and Fahim Wali are also recommended.

The Commission has also recommended the name of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Additional Advocate General Kamran Hayat Mian Khel.

The list of the recommended names has been referred to the Parliamentary Committee on Appointment of Additional Judges for final approval.
