Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi has geared up efforts to win a vote of confidence, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

A sum of Rs25 billion has been granted for more than 1,300 water supply schemes for the constituencies of allied MPAs.

Following the Chief Minister, the Standing Cabinet Committee on Finance also approved the schemes. 

Earlier, the department concerned raised objections, saying due to a lack of financial resources, these schemes should be included in the next year's budget.

The PML-Q and PTI members of the assembly will get the fund for more than 1300 schemes in the ongoing fiscal year.
