Grade-19 officer sacked over corruption charges

Islamabad Administrator Irfan Nawaz Memon has removed a BPS-19 officer from his post on charges of corruption, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

A notification confirming the dismissal was also sent to Arshad Shakeel. 

According to the notification, Shakeel Arshad was involved in corruption and dishonesty in Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI). Moreover, his performance in the Metropolitan Corporation was quite poor.

Following his sacking he was sent back to the Ministry of Science and Technology.

It was also decided that the report of corruption charges will also be sent to the Ministry of Science. 

It is pertinent to note that Shakeel Arshad was posted in the Metropolitan Corporation on deputation.
