Muhammad Akhtar of Sahiwal wins Karachi’s half-marathon 

Muhammad Akhtar from Sahiwal won the half-marathon held at Seaview in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 

Akhtar covered 21.5 kilometers of distance in one hour, 12 minutes and eight seconds.  

Muhammad Qasim from Sialkot, who finished as a runner-up, covered the distance in one hour, 12 minutes and 53 seconds.

Muhammad Usman, from Attock, remained third.

Mumtaz Naimat, from Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), won the title for girls.

She covered the distance in one hour and 43 minutes.  

People belonging to different walks of life, including politics and showbiz, participated in the race.

Strict security arrangements had been made for the event.
