Orange Train trial-run consumes Rs15m electricity in Feb

The electricity use for Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) test-run cost another Rs15 million in February.

Lahore Electric and Supply Company (LESCO) on Thursday issued an electricity bill of Rs15 million to the Chinese Company authorised for the test trial.

Lesco’s Iqbal Town Division issued Rs9 million electricity bill and Baghbanpura Division issued Rs6.5 million electricity bill.

The Punjab government will start paying the all electricity bills of OLMT after the completion of the project, as per the agreement between the Punjab Government and the Chinese company.

The Chinese company also paid electricity bill worth Rs30 million utilized for the OLMT test-run in January.
