The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Saturday acquitted former law secretary Dr Fayyaz in the Nandipur power project reference submitted by National Accountability Bureau (NAB), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The law secretary has been acquitted as per the NAB Amendment Ordinance.

The IHC in its verdict said that no evidence was proved against the accused law secretary Dr Fayyaz.

A divisional bench headed by IHC CJ Atthar Minallah said there was no charge of fraud against the accused and further probe of Dr Fayyaz in Nandipur reference would yield no results.

The court said that co-accused in the reference have already been acquitted.
