Differences have developed between the parties forming the ruling alliance in Balochistan over the formation of the provincial cabinet, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Sources told 24News TV channel that members of the Balochistan Assembly (MPAs), belonging to the Pashtun community, were not happy over the inclusion of only four members of their community in the 19-member cabinet.
They disclosed that besides that, areas of the province were not equally represented in the cabinet.
For instance, sources explained, most of the cabinet members belonged to the Naseerabad division of Balochistan.
MPAs had now openly started voicing their concerns over these imbalances, they revealed.
On the other hand, while expressing his views on a TV talk show, PPP MPA Asfand Yar Khan Kakar has said that the Pashtun belt of the province has been completely neglected while forming the Balochistan cabinet. “This is a fact and we will continue to raise our voice over that at all forums,” Kakar has said, adding, “Even not a single MPA has been inducted in the provincial cabinet from Pashtun-dominated areas like Qila Abdullah, Loralai and Zhob.”
The PPP leader has further said that he and other party MPAs have conveyed their concerns to the party leadership as well.
