Rs280m approved to switch LHC to solar electricity

The Punjab government has approved a grant of Rs 280 million to switch the Lahore High Court premises to solar energy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In order to reduce electricity costs, Lahore High Court (LHC) has requested the Punjab government a supplementary grant to shift the premises to solar power. 

The sources said that the electricity load on LESCO will be reduced by 40% by transferring the Lahore High Court to solar energy. 

Solar energy will save Rs40 million annually in the electricity bills of Lahore High Court.

In the current financial year, the budget has been made a part of the regular scheme.
