Slain PTI worker Moazzam Gondal s family meets Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Punjab government on Saturday announced to provide the bereaved family of the deceased Moazzam Gondal with financial support of Rs5 million each, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Moazzam was a participant in PTI’s long march along with his sons when he was shot during an assassination attempt on PTI chairman Imran Khan on Thursday.  

At the request of the PTI chief, the deceased PTI activist’s family met with the PTI Chief Imran Khan in Shaukat Khanum Hospital Lahore on Saturday. The family included three children, the mother and the brother of the deceased worker. Imran Khan announced a Rs 50 lakh financial aid to the bereaved family separately from the government of Punjab and the PTI party.    

Earlier, PTI leaders Fawad Chaudhry and Hammad Azhar met the family members of the deceased PTI worker Moazzam in Wazirabad. They gave the cheque for the compensatory amount to Moazzam’s father Nawaz Gondal. The PTI leaders told Moazzam’s family that the party would continue their financial aid in the future too.
