Different sections of motorways were closed Sunday due to fog, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the motorway police spokesperson, Motorway (M-2) was closed from Sheikhupura to Kot Momin.

Lahore-Multan Motorway (M-3) was also closed from Faizpur to Darkhana.

Motorways are closed for the safety of the public and to ensure safe travel, the spokesperson said.

Those travelling on motorways should use front and rear fog lights, he added.

They should also avoid unnecessary travel and speeding, he stated.

Motorists should keep a distance from other vehicles on motorways and contact helpline 130 for information and assistance.
