Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Pakistan-China Business Council (PCBC) Chairman Shabbir Mansha has said that reduction in containers fare from China will strengthen the national economy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.


Shabbir Mansha said that the rate was now even below $500 of containers coming from China while previously Rs1 million to Rs1.2 million were being paid under the head of fare per container.


Now a container of 20 feet witnessed reduction of Rs150,000. He said this decrease in fares of containers will help to reduce import duty on raw material and production.


He said that inflation heading towards downtrend. He said that both China and Pakistan trade ties will be more strengthened. He said that trade volume between the Pakistan and China will also expand. He said that consumers will also take benefits by after decrease in import duty of raw material.


He said that reduction in containers fares will also provide benefits to industrialists and general public.
