One dacoit killed by friendly fire, two arrested, three flee in Kharian police encounter

In a reported police encounter in Kharian, a robber was killed by gunfire from his own accomplices, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
According to the report, two dacoits were arrested in injured condition, while three managed to escape.
The deceased dacoit has been identified as Babar Musalli, a resident of Dinga. Among those arrested are Khurram Pathana and Umair Toor from Faisalabad.
During the encounter, the dacoits opened fire on the police party during a checkpoint, prompting a shootout between the police and the robbers.
One of the dacoits was killed by his associates' bullets, and two others were apprehended with injuries, while three remain on the run.
The deceased and apprehended robbers were wanted criminals with records in various police stations, including Mandi Bahauddin, Dinga, Faisalabad, and Kharian.
They were involved in multiple cases of robbery, theft, armed resistance, and firing on police.
The police forces from Dinga, Kharian, Gulyana, and Kakrali participated in the encounter.
