Federal Cabinet to take up 15-point agenda at upcoming meeting

Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a video-link meeting of the Federal Cabinet, which will take up a 15-point agenda on Tuesday (December 8). 

The Federal Cabinet would decide issues like restructuring of boards of six power distribution companies and whether or not to end diplomatic relations with France over blasphemous caricatures. 

At the meeting, new boards of power distribution companies like Fesco, Mesco, Iesco, Lesco, Pesco and Kesko will be presented to the cabinet for approval. The cabinet will also approve construction of the Federal Courts Complex in Karachi and appointment of the managing director of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC). 

Appointment of the executive director of the State Life Insurance Corporation will also be approved by the cabinet at Tuesday’s meeting. A proposal to relax the policy on prohibited arms and ammunition will also come under discussion at the cabinet meeting. Collective financial statements of the federation and all the provinces will be presented to the cabinet members. 

Appointment of the managing director of the House Building Finance Corporation, dentistry quota for the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University Islamabad and restructuring of the Pakistan Central Cotton Committee are also on the agenda for the Federal Cabinet meeting.
