PM calls Erdogan to offer condolences, full support to quake-hit Turkey

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended heartfelt condolences over the loss of precious lives from the earthquake in Turkey, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a telephonic conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday, the prime minister said the government and people of Pakistan are deeply saddened to learn about the severe earthquake and stand in complete solidarity with our Turkish brethren in this hour of grief.
Shehbaz Sharif assured the Turkey President that Pakistan stands ready to extend all possible support in the relief efforts and is confident that the resilient Turkish nation will overcome this natural calamity with characteristic grit and determination.
He said earthquake devastation is a message to the world community to get united to tackle the challenge of climate change. “Indeed, climate change-induced disasters are not limited to a single country or region, he added.
Recalling Turkey's support to Pakistan in every hour of difficulty, Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan will help Turkey in every possible way.
He also expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace of the deceased persons and speedy recovery of the injured.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his phone call and support.
