Papa Dacoit killed, Son Dacoit escaped in police encounter

1. The man, who was killed and the one who had fled in an ‘encounter’ with police near Jamali Pull at Super Highway (Sindh) have turned out to be father and son, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Police said father, who was killed in the shootout, was identified as Ahmed Deen while raids were being carried out to arrest his son.

It further said both of them belonged to Shikarpur, and were security guards at a private security company.

One person was killed while the other managed to escape in the alleged encounter while two cops had also received injuries.

Police further said that fingerprints of the citizen, whom dacoits had shot dead on offering resistance prior to an ‘encounter’, had been obtained to ascertain his identity. “Case of citizen’s murder at the hands of dacoits has been registered at Sohrab Goth police station, while the second case has been lodged at Sachal police station under the attempted murder and anti-terrorism clauses, and the third one under the clauses dealing with the recovery of unlicensed arms from the dacoit,” it concluded.
