Overbilling woes: FIA issues notices to LESCO’s Director Customer Services and Director General IT

Amid overbilling complaints, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore circle has started an inquiry against LESCO officials, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has allegedly overbilled millions of protected customers. Power consumers who were using less than 200 units were issued bills for more than 200 units which resulted in an additional burden of crores of rupees on the consumers.

FIA has issued notices to the Director Customer Services and the Director General IT department. Moreover, billing data and other details have been sought from LESCO officials.

Director FIA Lahore Zone Sarfraz Virk has said that overbilling will not be tolerated under any circumstances and strict action will be taken against those responsible for overbilling.
