2,875 minority students get scholarship cheques in Sindh

A total of 2,875 students got scholarship cheques at a ceremony on Monday, the 24NewsHD channel reported.
A total of 1, 722 university and 1,153 college students got the cheque at the event. In his address as chief guest, Sindh Minister for Minorities Affairs Giyan Chand Essarani announced that he proposed doubling the amount allocated for scholarships.
He listed his government’s feats saying party leadership directed him to launch the development and renovation of holy places for minorities throughout Sindh province.
The minister said the PPP leadership has always taken the notice of the incidents against minorities and directed the Sindh government to provide the victim with justice.
He added that he tried to reach out to everyone who deserves the assistance and support in all districts of the province. He said more students would be given scholarships
