A married woman received severe burn injuries when a man threw acid on her in Toba Tek Sindh on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The man named ‘Sardar’ hurled the acid on Samina Bibi who lived in Ranjhayawali Basti located in the Pir Mahal area of the city.

The victim’s face and body suffered badly from the acid attack. She was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.

Police said that they had recorded a statement of the victim and a probe has been launched to ascertain the reasons behind the incident.
