Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that COVID-19 pandemic is further spreading in the province because federal government’s Economic Relief Package did not reach Sindh.

He was addressing a meeting via video link of People’s Doctors Forum at Bilawal House Karachi.

The PPP chairman said the Sindh governor was not signing the relief package announced by the Sindh government.

Bilawal said the federal government must realize that it was Sindh’s timely measures that had not made the situation deteriorated.

Bilawal demanded that Sindh doctors and paramedics should be given package like forces fighting in ‘war zone’.

PPP considered the frontline doctors and paramedics as heroes, he added.

Earlier he said he "is not sure what the government is doing" about awareness regarding COVID-19 but he has asked party members from across the country to record messages in their mother tongue. He has shared messages for viewers in Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Separately, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday through video link participated in the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) meeting held in Islamabad.
