Begum Samina Alvi inaugurates int’l food festival

On Saturday, the first lady Begum Samina Alvi has inaugurated an international food festival at a local hotel in Islamabad.

The pictures of the inauguration ceremony went viral across the social platforms.

The food festival has been attended by the local residents of Islamabad including the members of the diplomatic corps along with their families and people from different walks of life had enjoyed the festival.

The festival includes the stalls of traditional dishes.

The festival has been commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony after which Begum Samina went to the stalls and showed her keen interest in the food on offer.

The organizers of the festival told Begum Alvi about the cuisine on display.

They appreciated and thanked the presence of her and said it was an encouragement for them.
