PML-N leader Rai Qamar booked for threatening Imran Khan

Hafizabad Police Sunday booked former vice-chairman of Hafizabad PML-N Rai Qamar Zaman for publicly threatening Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan at the party convention, rereported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The case was registered at the request of District Chairman PTI Imran Abbas Bhatti while the provisions of the Terrorism Act are also included in the FIR.
In the video clip, Qamar can be heard saying that he would be willing to assassinate Khan if “by the grace of God” ordered by the party leadership.
Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab Azhar Mashwani confirmed in a series of tweets Sunday.
Taking to Twitter, Azhar Mashwani penned that PMLN’s Rai Qamar district vice president has been arrested by Hafizabad Police. He threatened to shoot Imran Khan in a public meeting today where Atta Tarar, Saira Afzal Tarar, and Saad Rafique were also present.

Hafizabad police arrested the accused when he was trying to flee. The names of Adviser to Prime Minister Atta Tarar, PML-N district chairman Mian Bakhsh Tarar, and PML-N’s former federal health minister Saira Afzal Tarar are also in the FIR.
It should be noted that Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvaiz Elahi had taken strict notice of the serious threats against Imran Khan on behalf of the former vice chairman of PML-N district Hafizabad Rai Qamar and ordered legal action.
Meanwhile, PML-N district chairman Qamar Zaman threatened Imran Khan during the ceremony upon which Saira Tarar asked him to tender an apology. “Threatening someone is not in our policy, we will defeat our opponent with the vote,” she said.
