National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Javed Iqbal has ordered an inquiry into complaints Shehbaz Sharif made to the court against officials.
The anti-corruption body head sought an explanation from the officials concerned over the matter and issued directives for protecting self-respect of all the human beings.
Earlier in the day, Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif made a complaint to an accountability court about NAB officials’ inhumane and humiliating’ behaviour.
Giving his statement to the court, Shehbaz said he deserved basic human rights though he was in custody. Having been suffering from severe backache for years, Shehbaz said, adding that he too has right to medical treatment.
He complained that he was refused to help whenever he called for changing the position of his chair for offering prayers and his food was being placed on the floor.
