Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Sunday expressed outrage at poor sanitation in the province.
Chairing a meeting on the local governments, Buzdar showed his anger at local government officials’ failure to ensure cleanliness. He said that local government officials don’t deserve to hold the posts if they are not willing to do the needful.
Buzdar directed the officials to address people’s grievances on time. He said that local governments were now getting funds and asserted that the provincial government was preparing for local council elections. “Development work at the grassroots will be felt by people,” he said. The meeting discussed the upcoming local council polls and related issues.
