Lovebirds slaughtered for ‘honour’ in Islamabad

A newly-married couple who tied the knot of their free will was slaughtered in the name of “honour” in Islamabad on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The young man and the woman hailed from Hangu and sought shelter at a house in Islamabad.
The killers chased them down, stormed into the house and slaughtered them within the limits of Tarnol Police Station in the federal capital and fled.
The lovebirds were identified as 22-year-old Shoaib and 24-year-old Mardana Bibi, the police said.
The police personnel shifted the bodies to a hospital for further proceedings.
SSP Operations Arsalan Shah also visited the crime scene and told journalists that the killers will be arrested very soon.
