Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz remained unhurt when a stick was hurled at her during a rally in Shahdara on Monday night. 

The PML-N leader kicked off her Lahore tour to mobilise workers and extending an invitation to Lahorites for December 13 Pakistan Democratic Public rally.

In her last address in Shahdara on Monday night, Maryam remained unhurt after a stick was hurled at her. She left the stage immediately.

In a tweet, Maryam Nawaz said that she had finished her speech and she was on her way back when a flying stick hit her. She said that it was mistakenly hit her. 

She wrote, “No sensationalisation pls Folded hands. I had finished my speech and was on my way back when this flying stick hit me slightly. I think it was by mistake and not deliberate or aimed at me.”

In her address, she said that Lahore belongs to Nawaz Sharif and it remain the same. She said that government could not deter the PML-N party workers from attending the Lahore gathering on December 13. She thanked the local party leaders and workers for arranging good rally in Shahdara.

Earlier, the PML-N vice president visited various areas of Lahore including Quaid-e-Azam Interchange, Darogawala, Shalimar Chowk, Cup Store and Badami Bagh to mobilize party workers for the upcoming Lahore rally.
