Suleman Shehbaz, son of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has decided to return to Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The development came as Suleman Shehbaz through his lawyer filed an application in Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday seeking protective bail.
It may be mentioned here that Suleman had been declared a proclaimed offender in a money laundering case against the Sharif family and an accountability court in Lahore had issued his non-bailable arrest warrants.
In the past, the NAB had made several attempts to bring Suleman back to Pakistan.
Meanwhile, in a TV interview on Tuesday night, former National Assembly speaker and Federal Minister Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has claimed that PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif was returning to Pakistan in January.
“Nawaz Sharif will return to the country next month and also award party tickets to those aspiring to contest the polls,” the federal minister told a private TV channel.
In the party’s recent meetings, a good number of leaders had requested the elder Sharif to return and face the challenge posed by Imran Khan. Senior leaders like Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Rana Sanaullah had previously said Nawaz would be in Pakistan ahead of the next general elections.
