Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) against the leaking of an audio call record between her and her lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa.
In the petition, she has alleged that the audio call was tampered with and made public by some media outlets and agencies with the intention of harassing her and affecting her family life.
She has also claimed that the audio call was a privileged communication between a lawyer and a client and that making it public would disrupt the legal system.
She has requested the court to restrain the institutions and agencies from recording phone calls and making them public without any lawful authority.
She has also sought orders to remove all spying devices from her residence and office. She has named the Secretary to the Prime Minister, Defence, Interior and Chairman PTA as respondents in the petition.
The IHC has not yet fixed a date for hearing the petition.
