Pakistan Army relief teams leave for quake-hit Turkiye
CJCSC, services chiefs express sorrow over loss of human lives in earthquake

On the instructions of Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, two teams of Pakistan Army have left for quake-hit Turkiye to take part in relief activities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Army teams that are going to Turkiye include Urban Search and Rescue Team and Medical Team.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and the three services chiefs have also expressed sorrow over the loss of human lives in earthquake in Turkiye.
The relief teams left for Adana city in Turkiye on the night between February 6 and February 7 on a special aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
The urban search and rescue team includes rescue experts, search dogs, and search equipment while the medical team includes army doctors, nursing staff and technicians.
The medical team of Pakistan Army will set up a 30-bed mobile hospital.
The relief goods include tents, blankets and other items.
The relief teams of Pakistan Army will remain in Turkiye until the rescue operation is completed.
“The people and the armed forces of Pakistan stand by the Turkish brothers in this hour of difficulty,” the ISPR said.
