Police on Saturday registered a case on the complaint of the father of the slain student, Athar Ali.
The father told the police that his son Ahsan Ali was a student of Azeem Schooling System in 13-D Gulshan Iqbal. He said he received a call from the institution that his son got injured after being hit by a bullet.
The father said that when he reached the coaching centre, they had already taken his son to the hospital. He said he hurriedly went to the hospital but his son succumbed to his wounds by that time.
Athar Ali told the police that two students Talha and Luqman holding Kalashnikov came to the coaching centre at 4pm yesterday. They went to a classroom on the second floor. Then a gunshot was fired and both Talha and Luqman ran downstairs and disappeared in the street. His son was shot at.
A female teacher was teaching at the time of the incident.
The father said that Talha and his son Ahsan quarreled a day before. But the coaching centre administration resolved the matter between them.
But Talha nurtured a grudge in his heart and brought a Kalashnikov in the centre next day and opened fire on Ahsan.
The students studying in the centre became terrified over the incident. Even the whole area wore a gloomy look.
Ahsan’s father is a vegetable seller who wanted his child to get higher education. They belonged to the Mao family.
