ECP rejects govt’s summary seeking appointment of Mohsin Butt as addl FIA DG

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected a summary forwarded by the caretaker government seeking the appointment of Mohsin Hassan Butt as additional director general of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja turned down the summary for appointment of Mohsin Butt, who had already served as FIA director general.

Mohsin Butt had been retired as FIA director general on December 31.

The summary for his appointment as FIA additional director general for three months was approved by the caretaker government and sent to the ECP for clearance.
