Signal-free corridor project launched in Gujranwala

As many as nine U-turn will be created on 12.7 kilometers long signal-free corridor which was being constructed from Chan Da Qila Chowk to Aziz Bypass in Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The project will be completed by June 2025 with an estimated cost of Rs4.5 billion.
The project of remodeling of the old GT road to convert it into a signal-free corridor has recently been launched by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for the smooth flow of traffic.
Official sources said the secretary communication and works department was also due in Gujranwala in the current week to review the project as well as possibilities for any change in the design in the wake of Punjab government’s plan to launch the bus service in the city.
