Locally-produced ventilator to be launched in January 2025
Cost of imported ventilator is 8 to 10 million rupees, locally manufactured ventilators cost Rs3 million only

Marking a significant achievement in the country’s medical industry, Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has officially registered a new locally produced ventilator, named “Innovent”, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Alsons Medical Technology Group Director Dr Fauzia Sadiq said that for the first time state of the art ventilators have been produced in Pakistan which will be officially launched from January 2025.
She said ventilator has successfully completed its clinical trial in Jinnah Hospital Lahore and obtained DRAP license for local production.
Dr. Fauzia Sadiq said the cost of imported ventilator was between to 8 to 10 million rupees but the locally manufactured ventilators cost only Rs3 million.
Dr Fauzia Sadiq said during January 2025 company will manufacture 10 ventilators and 25 ventilators will be produced in February 2025. She said overall company wanted to produce 1,000 ventilators every year.
Dr Fauzia Sadiq said various hospitals and companies were in touch with the group for purchasing of these ventilators.
