Nepra makes electricity expensive by Rs9.52 per unit for Karchiites

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) Thursday notified a Rs9.52 per unit increase in power tariff for the month of May for K-Electric consumers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The increase has been made under the name of monthly fuel adjustment for the month of May. 

The additional charges for the May bill will be received in the bills of July and August.

The consumers will receive the bill for July month with an additional Rs2.63 per unit charges while they will be charged an additional Rs6.89 in the August bill.

The increase will put an additional burden of Rs19billion on the K-electric consumers.
